Excel question linking cells from two sheets Reply to this post

I hope this is a simple answer, I just can't find it!

I have two spread sheets, one with master data, the second has data pulled from the first sheet (plus other data on its own.) I know there is one simple key I can hit to sync the two spreadsheets and update the second with whatever changes were made to the first. I am just having a duh moment and cant think of it.

Anyone know which key it is?

I believe F9 is the key you need; at least it works for me. Hope that helps.

This presumes that the data is actually LINKED between the two sheets, correct? If so, then it should automatically update the second spreadsheet when you make changes in the first spreadsheet. Unless you have automatic updates turned off.

Agreed Marie. When I read this again I thought when you open the second spreadsheet, a window popped up asking if you wanted to update the information.
