Title: UK Election
Post by: peana on May 05, 2005, 09:07:51 am
Just a reminder to everyone to go out and vote today.

There's been a lot of debate recently about postal votes and I wondered how many of you had this option?  Personnally I've voted by post for the past few years and I think it encourages you to weigh up the options more.  Living in Hackney there are loads of parties to choose from - I didn't realise that the Liberal Party, as opposed to the Liberal Democrats, was still going until I saw them on my ballot paper!

Thanks for the reminder.  I guess I'm old-fashioned and believe that voting is a citizen's duty.

I like to GO and vote, but I think postal voting is a great system for those people who prefer or need that service.  As for the parties - there are lots of them around and some with slightly confusing names.
