Sorry Jackie I feel your pain. Something will stick soon, eventually he will get frustrated or tired of all the change.
Can you have an honest conversation with him? One of those "help me, help you"? I firmly believe in the art of managing the manager. Behind every good husband is a wife, behind every good manager is their admin.
