What is your best work experience?  What comes to mind right away that makes you smile when you think back?  What comes to mind first.

For me about 7 years now, but just having my friends where I used to work.   Thinking back they make me smiile still.  One friend had a shark collection and I still think of him when I see a cute shark in store.  Another thought from my work history that makes me smile is a "Olympics" I made.  We had about 80 people/  It was such a fun event.  We had "velcro obstacle course" omg I snicker thinking back at how people got stuck.

What good memories do you have from your time at work?

My best boss!  I recently heard the terms "work husband/work wife", and I suddenly realized that's what we were.  We knew each other's moods and work habits.  We could finish each other's thoughts and sentences.  We shared the same work ethic and had a lot of the same ideas and opinions.  We respected each other and always, always stood up for each other.  I never once had to doubt that he would stand behind me in anything.  I worked for him for 18 1/2 years.  I have never worked harder in my life because he was a real type A personality and just piled the work on me.  But it was also the most enjoyable time, and I doubt I will ever have such a relationship with a boss again.

Interviewing for a position and being asked what I needed to have to work there.  I gave my answer and there was this kind of uncomfortable pause.  Owner of the company says with my background and skills he couldn't start me at that.  I would have to start where he started everyone.  Ended up being 20% more than I asked for.  I would do anything for that man!

Whoa!  What a story - congrats to you for that!!  I think the hardest thing is trying to put a "value" on your skills.
