Hi everyone, I am new here. My name is Chloe, I am a UK based Virtual Assistant, I have been in business for 1 year now and am looking to make friends with other Virtual Assistants as working from home can be isolating at times!

Hi Chloe and welcome to the forums. I am not a VA but my job sometimes can be quite isolating, so I come on here for some company also.

Welcome - not a VA either - the fridge and oven (baker) would be too close!
Join in - we can get lively on occasion.

Hi, I'm Jodie and I'm thinking of becoming a VA - at the moment I work from home but will be out of work next May. It would be great to be able to share ideas and combat the isolation at the same time.

hi Jodie, welcome to DD.  This isn't a particularly active forum and you might find more info on VA stuff in other places, but this is an active site nonetheless.

Hi Jodie and Chloe

How are you both doing?  Well, I hope!

Well, folks, I am in La Belle France with my napsack taken out of the van that I hired then drove the full length of France to arrive at my new home.  Just got to return the van now (man. is my back sore!).  I have telephone, internet, TV (the most important, especially with BBC World but still need to find Dr Who on French tv!), and I am starting to gather my strength to find work too!.

Not bad since I finished work last Friday, was in France on Saturday evening and reached new home by Sunday evening!

Jess!

I am so jealous!  I think the closest I will get to France in the next year is Rosetta Stone that I am asking for Christmas.  Good luck in job search and keep up posted signed - living vicarioulsy in Atlanta.

Hi everyone,
My name is Christine (better known here in Spain as Cristina).
I have 2 grown up daughters and in 2012 became a grandmother to a beautiful little girl.
Professionally, I am the founder of Virtual Assistant Spain located in the province of Alicante, Spain.
I decided to become self employed and create Virtual Assistant Spain after many years working in Administration management. It seemed to me to be the obvious way forward, companies are now struggling in the Economic crisis, and we all have to help one another.
I love being a VA, its certainly never boring!
