I have read with interest the recent post with regard to stockings/tights.  I normally wear quite long skirts but even if I don't, I was never (even in the winter!) wearing tights.  I just find them so uncomfortable.  However, taking on board some of the other comments, I took a good hard look at my legs in a knee length skirt both with and without the dreaded things!  I have to agree that they do look a lot better with them - even though for the first time that I can remember I returned from my recent holiday with a bit of a tan!  

The other thing that I never do is wear make up - of any kind.  Now I know this may seem unprofessional too, though it has never been commented on by any of my superiors.  I am lucky enough to be blessed with good skin (surely deserved after those acne-ridden teenage years?!) and on the very odd occassion that I have worn make up it has irritated my skin which then becomes quite blotchy, even with the kind intended for sensitive skins.  I just wondered how many others go totally au-naturel?

Make up?  What's that then?  I think I might dig my make-up bag out once or twice a year, and certainly never for work.  I really can't be faffed.  But there again, I refuse to have a hairstyle that requires hours of maintenance with a hot brush either.  I do make a point of dressing smartly though.

Wouldn't dare go out in public without face make-up...especially eyeliner and blush....I would just look like a dead person without these.

I've also recently begun with regular manicures, as my nails are growing to a decent lengh, due to thyroid replacement medication.

As for the hosiery, I feel like I have to wear pantyhose under my pant suits...but will wear cotton socks with cotton Dockers on casual days.  It's so chilly in our offices that the nylons really aren't a bother.

I work in academia. I don't wear make-up because it's part of the culture. I do sometimes for clients and big events. Or if I'm having a bad skin day - but it's got to be really bad for me to do that.

I go the hole hog. I wear foundation, blusher, eye-liner, eyeshadow, mascara and lipstick. The colours are all natural colours and look natural too....

I have my nails done every three weeks and have just started my fake tan routine - oh and I tint my eyebrows too. Sooooooooo, completely the opposite to you (I still haven't worked our the smilies on here - If I did, I would put a smily face in now) :) :o)

I wear the makeup every day to work, however, very little.  I do the foundation, blush, powder on my face, and then usually two different colors of eye shadow as blending and eyeliner.  I used to get the fake nails done every three weeks til I broke one during the winter, all I can say is OUCH!  NEVER again!  I'll let my natural nails grow and get a professional manicure before I do that again.  

On the weekends, I'm all natural except for a bit of perfume which I wear every day.  So, guess I'm a makeup person, however, I'm not one to freshen it up every couple of hours at the office either.  I apply once daily and if its gone by 5:00, oh well!
