Title: Networking "Links" Section Post by: susan silva on August 26, 2009, 10:13:54 am I want to take a minute and just point out one of the many new sections of the Networking area. The last tab on the sub nav bar is titled "Links." The links section is a place where you can post news items from online newspapers and helpful sites (as always, sites similar in nature to DeskDemon will be removed). It is a great place to share the latest news and keep up on some topics you may not read about. I personally am posting Admin/PA related news. I had done this in the "Groups" section, but this a much better spot for it. When I come across and PA or Admin that is mentioned, I post a link.
Take a look and when you see that article you would like to share, take a minute and submit a link. It is very easy to do. http://www.deskdemon.com/dnet/browse_links_upcoming.php (http://www.deskdemon.com/dnet/browse_links_upcoming.php) Title: Re: Networking "Links" Section Post by: Alice P. on August 31, 2009, 09:27:50 am I like it! One quick question though, what are the thumbs up and thumbs down for?
Title: Re: Networking "Links" Section Post by: countrigal on August 31, 2009, 02:11:12 pm My thoughts would be that they are for "ranking" the link's information... ie, if you like it you give it a thumbs up but if you thought it wasn't worth the time to read, you give it a thumbs down. Nothing official, but kind of like on Facebook where you can like or dislike someone's post/comment.
