10 days after 6 months, it goes to 15 days after 7 years, 8 paid holidays.  No sick time \.  No rolling over vacation, it is use it or lose it as well.

I have a co-worker that gets on my nerves.  I can take A personalities, I can take female dogs (put nicely for this board) , I can take self centered personalities but I can't take self pity people.  The world sucks, poor me.  I just want to lash out!  We have one person who can't admit their mistakes and then goes into a really mean pity party mode.  I keep my mouth shut, but today I almost lost it.  When she was,  my fault, I am stupid, I will work on the project again (hey .. she did make a mistake) I took the high road and said a nice comment, when I wanted to say let me get my violin out and play for your pity party.  Anyone have any personalities.. that just get on their nerves?  How do you keep control!

That job sounds fun, I love animals.  Good luck and I hope moving to something new .. turns out to be one of the best things in your life!

I did something and I cant figure out how to get it back to how I had it or how to describe it.    Where it has From, subject, received, size .. etc  it is showing about 3 lines of the email.  I want it back to where it just has the from/subject line, not a preview!  I have tried the  View | navigation pane | Normal .. but that area under "Search Inbox" still has a few lines of the email!   I have right clicked places, it is a silly option that I just cant figure out where it is. 

Help!!!     

I was watching the olympics on tv and wondered is any of the uk people have seen any of the events?  I was watching the bike races and there were so many people on the streets.  It must be exciting.

 . How cute!   Puppies sure just make me smile!   I am sure he will bring you many smiles hahaha and a few puppy frustrations (hide the shoes!).

The concept of using them at work is more.. there is one or more work stations set up and  you can schedule an hour or more.  You can plug in a laptop to the network or make calls or have conference call.  You actually are supposed to walk every slow but even at a slow pace you burning more calories.   I would love one here and set an hour and do all my email or when we have our weekly conference call.  I would use it, but I doubt this company would ever get one.

We were told our IT department is watching and reporting what people surf at work.  I know they "can" do it, but didn't think they would!  I dont surf at work so have nothing to worry about.  But some of the people I work with are getting lists of where they go. We actually are encouraged to go to the company site, they would have no problem with DeskDemon or the actual local paper online, BUT some play games, look at celebrity sites, even dating sites at work (and yes, rumor has it some look at por...n)  Wow!  Just had to share.

Here in the San Francisco Bay Area there are a lot of companies that allow dogs or have a dog around the office.  It isnt main stream, I would guess 1% or less, but still, out of 100000 companies that makes a could hundred around the area.  It isn't just small and mom and pop companies, Zynga (game on facebook) allows dogs and a few other larger companies.  I love dogs so have would have no problem if a dog is well behaved.  I would LOVE to bring my dog to work, but he a stubborn SOB and wouldn't behave or be calm.

That link is FIVE years old Gee and doesn't really ask the same thing at all.   I order recycled products when they don't cost a ton more.   We do get recycled paper but I price out folders, post its, pencils.  It goes most important decent price, then green if a good price, then normal supplies.

Peaches, I am with you... I have gone from a job I love to a job I wish I would call in sick every day.  A career to .. a paycheck.  Hopefully things will turn around some day.

It used to be handing out paychecks, but I don't do that any more.  I would say planning the picnics and off-site events.
