An admin in our office has been asked to find a site for driving directions in Mexico. Does anyone know how to get driving directions, like Yahoo or MapQuest, for Mexico? MapQuest seems to think North America consists solely of Canada and the US. Any ideas?

Yikes, I did a really quick check of Expedia, Yahoo, MapQuest and a general Google search for driving directions, Mexico, looked at some of the websites and wondered if I would rely on them to send a boss or coworker anywhere. (nope)

Here's what I was able to come up with, and also in this mornings "net travels" came across some very stern warnings about driving at night just something to pass along.

http://www.maps-of-mexico.com/driving-distance-chart.shtml which at least tells you how far from place to place, but doesn't provide directions, although with a little effort on the site you can also find some apparently older mapquest maps of specfic locations,,,,

Clicking on one link ended me up at EBay---Oh yeah now THAT's helpful.

I also came up with http://www.virtualmex.com which might at least give you someone to call to get info.  And I know it's a silly idea but have you tried AAA? It's possible they might have maps...

Colour me ...Stumped!

Have you tried www.roughguides.com - it's aimed at people travelling for fun and adventure? I don't know how much driving related info they have.

Where are you trying to get from and to? Specific cities might be helpful.

http://www.mapblast.com MapBlast has maps and driving directions for Mexico.

Here is a forum (similar to here) for driving in Mexico. They can probably answer specific questions you might have.
http://www.mexconnect.com/cgi-bin/foros/gforum.cgi?forum=5;

They also have general information on driving in Mexico:

Thanks everyone for all your help! I think that's the best thing about this board, since I'm in California, I can post last thing before I leave and have answers waiting for me when I log on in the morning.

Are you looking for driving directions within a specific city or directions to/from one city to another?  I can probably help you a bit if you tell me what city(ies) you are looking for.
