Don’t just look at the course title, go with the first flier that lands on your desk or the course your boss's previous PA enjoyed. Instead, do some research and find out what's on offer. Also, when deciding on a course, make sure you get a list of its content and learning objectives, and check that at least 80% are relevant to you, because doing a course for just one relevant element is a waste of time. Remember to be wary of those courses that promise to revolutionise your work life in one sitting.
