How to Find a Missing File
Here are some tips on where to look when you can’t find a file:
- Is the file on your desk stuck to another file by a paper clip or staple?
- In the filing cabinet is the file put in the file before or after the one it should be in?
- Did the file fall in between folders, or fall under the other folders?
- Is someone else working on the project and could they have taken the file?
- Did your boss stop by your desk and take it?
- What other topics could the file subject fall under?
- Was it filed recently? Check some of the files to see it was stuck to another file while filing.
