Skills that can T R A N S F E R from one job to another or from one area of life to another are called Transferable Skills. An example of a transferable skill is communicating by writing. You can communicate with your colleagues by exchanging emails. You can also communicate with your roommate by writing on a post-it note and leaving it on the door before you exit the house.

Other examples of transferable skills are: communicating in writing (email, letter, fax, post-its, for example), solving problems, building relationships, numeracy, teamwork, customer care, presenting, networking, communicating verbally(speaking), prioritising, presenting, empathising, delivering what you promise, planning and organising, handling phone rage.
