Web Conferencing, also called data conferencing, uses an internet browser to allow 2 or more remote parties to hold group meeting or live presentations over the internet. A telephone and a computer connected to the internet is required for web conferencing. All parties can see a visual document at the same time such as PowerPoint slides, a website, a shared whiteboard or an application on a person’s computer. Web conferencing can be used with audio conferencing or by itself with one person on a telephone. Several different service platforms may be used which vary in features and price.
