Tina has worked in the education field for over fifteen years. She has regularly undertaken training in computer programs and, whilst working as an administrative assistant, received a Bachelors’ degree in Business. Because of her commitment to the job she decided not to change roles on receiving her degree, instead seeing it as an opportunity to apply some of the lessons learned in her job and also mentor others in her department. A veteran on numerous committees at the community college, she gets involved in a number of extra projects – anything from creating a website for an organization to putting together a training manual for a church group. She is currently considering going back to college to work for a Masters degree.

Ron - Tina is a wonderful person... She deserves every vote she gets...I wish her the best..

Curtis - Her patience in training others in difficult computer tasks, (hey, I'm old), is a gift. Tina makes it look easy.

Irma - Tina is all of the above and more. One quality that I see in her that I don't find in others that are in a higher position than others is sharing their knowledge. Tina does not have this problem and is a true asset to all of us who are constantly asking her how to do something we can't do on the computer. If she does not have the answer, she will stay at it until she gets it and all you hear is "I GOT IT" and then she will come and show you how. In the very competitive world of business, education, and even in our society, this asset is rarely seen, but it sure is seen in Tina. She is a dynamo with a dynamic personality.

Natalie G. - Tina is awesome inside and out. She is someone that you can rely on whether it has to do with work or not. She is smart, sincere, funny and wonderful to be around.

Gloria - I agree 100+% with this nomination for Tina. She is an exceptional young woman striving and succeeding to make a difference in her life and the lives of others. Tina gives so much of her time and energy to support a project, to make sure a student has received his/her educational requirements to enter college, and to ensure a senior citizen in the community has his/hers monthly needs met or that they will not turned away from a support program. She has such a superior work ethic producing nothing less than the highest quality finished work of perfection. Charlotte - I agree with all her work in the community and positive activist for African Americans; she has my gratitude and respect. She is on numerous committees in the community in which she is enriching and motivating the lives of our African Americans youths to reach their potential and aim for the stars.

Twila - Tina is a very hard working woman. She is always ready to lend a helping hand wherever she is asked to do so. She has saved my organization by simply putting up a website in the nick of time and assisting with sending out numerous letters, all without complaining. You go Tina, you are the best.
