How to Work With Multiple Bosses Who Want Priority
- What are the due dates? Is there any flexibility in any of these? Do some projects have greater ramifications if missed than others?
- Can I modify the project, to make it easier to finish quicker (i.e. computer typed labels instead of handwritten labels, copy all receipts and log them in later)?
- Is help available? Are there colleagues in the office who could help if this really were a crunch time with multiple deadline projects? Try not to abuse this option. If no other colleagues are available, are there any alternative assistants available (interns, temps etc)?
- Will you authorise overtime for me, if none of these others are options?
- It's not getting done, unless the boss authorises overtime or provides me with assistance.
