Writing back in fashion, says stationery expert

Writing instruments are making a comeback, according to Stationery Show organiser Chris Leonard-Morgan.

The organiser of the April show, previously known as the Stationery and Office Products Shows (SOPX), commented: "Writing by hand isn't a thing of the past yet, not by a long way!"

"There is a lot of talk at the moment about letter writing making a comeback," he continued. "For many people, letters are better.

"Writing instruments and fountain pens in particular are increasing being promoted as a fashion accessory which can only be good for business."

The Stationery Show takes place on Tuesday 12 - Wednesday 13 April 2011 at the Business Design Centre in London.

Writing instrument exhibitors to date include Faber Castell, Zebra Pen, Caran d'Ache, Ballograf, Luxor, Retro 51, Manuscript Pen, Schneider, Kaweko, Schmidt, Kores, Lannoo, Chelford, Molin and Pentra.
