Did you get into the role as a supervisor or grow into the roll by have workers thrust under your guidance? I am trying to figure out how to grown in my company and managing others maybe a way.

I was hired as a supervisor. Do the admins already have a central manager? If not and if you are a strong admin or the senior admin or work for the CEO, you can recommend it or propose it.

We do not have a central manager. Our company is growing and it is my opinion that some of the department admins (not the ones that support one or two people, but the ones that support a group) may benefit from an over all manager. I would love to get into a supervisory role, I would like a chance to help the company do well with an organized and well focused admin staff, but also to help admins grown and become better workers. This may seem like just a dream but I am it never hurts to take baby steps to an ultimate goal.
