Although I would love it, no, I don't think it is becoming more mainstream. I think you are more likely to see it in a very small family owned company.
I think here in the US there's just too many liability concerns for it to ever get truly widespread. Employers have concerns about someone getting bitten, allergies, the waste treatment, employees getting distracted, the safety of the pets, etc.
