WS:  USE YOUR FMLA!  You should not incur "points" against you if you have completed the necessary paperwork for this leave.  FMLA protects your job status for reasons just like this.  Please use this it's only to your advantage.  Yes it's unpaid but it won't count against you for unplanned absence.
