Telephone problems

Anyone else out there experiencing phone problems?
I've received several wrong numbers (people trying to call someone else and getting our office instead) today.
What's really odd about it is 3 of the wrong number calls came from the same office (three different employees there) in Arizona trying to get in touch with 3 different people.
Another one was someone trying to call her doctor's office to schedule an appointment.
Several others were hangups on our voicemail.

We've had those problems before. Matter of fact we get these scammers that call our line cause the company that calls offering free trips gives one of our many lines to call in and win. We've called the company and they insist that they aren't giving out the wrong number....hmmm.

We had an e-mail this morning that said BellSouth is experiencing a lot of line problems. May be related to your phone problems.

If I get a live person on the phone I always asked how they got our number.
Here's our situation. We ALWAYS get calls from men and women (from Ohio) who want to know if "a payment has been made to their account" aka child support. Then I say: "We not a child support agency, may I ask how you got our number?" "It was on the message...." what's the number that will get me to that message.
Then you work it from there. I eventually got a hold of the person who did the recordings and told him what was going on and that he needed to be CLEARER on the message. And that he needed to say the phone number slower.
It's helped but you still get some people who just misdial.
Sigh!
