Gee - I'm sure I'm not alone in saying we'll all be thinking good thoughts for you.  You're right, the timing is lousy but, as you said at the beginning of this thread, you've been bored and unhappy for so long and this might just be the impetus (if it is you that's due to go) for you to spread your wings and go to something better.

Of course, I know from personal experience that that's easier said than done.

Fingers crossed it's all good news... how long have you been with the company?  You should be entitled to some compensation depending on how long you've been there.
