OK, I'm new around here, only registered today, so hello everyone.

I thought I'd just jump in to say that I've never heard of a candy dish before either, but as I'm UK based as well, it backs up the USA only comment.

I think it sounds like a great idea, but I know I'd end up eating most of the sweets myself, so I'd have to buy something that I don't like to put in it (not much chance of getting it on expenses in the NHS).  Then I'd have to watch everyone else eating my sweets.  How heart-breaking would that be?

One other thing, can someone please explain to me what LOL means?  I'm sure it'll be patently obvious once someone has patiently explained it to me.
