Talk about frustrating.

I have been ordering from the Corporate Express site e-way for about a year and it's great.  Not only can I specify manufacturer if I want, and search by price range, but it keeps a memory of things I have ordered before!  There is even a free-form field where I can just describe what I want, if I couldn't find it.  They have a delivery van in our area - things I order before 2pm one day are delivered free-of-charge the next!

The local Corporate Express representative had to set up an account (we pay by pro-card), and the rest has been grand!

Same with me.  Our company uses Corporate Express.  Even now that the company I work for has split from the 40,000+ employee, Fortune 59 company, Corp Exp still offered us the same contract prices on a special catalog of items.

We are not restricted to a purchasing a certain amount for free delivery - it is all free - unless it is a speciality item (i.e., furniture, file cabinet, etc.)

I can either fax in my order or use the on-line service.

We also use Corporate Express and are very pleased with their service.  I place all my orders online and love the convenience.

We have our own requisition form listing the items we order weekly.  Just punch in the quantity and hit "submit".  The items arrive the next day.  It's that easy.  It tracks all your previous orders too.

The delivery truck takes the same route I do on my way in to work, so I actually follow my order in!

I read that column too and was very surprised that the customer service reps didn't laugh at the TAA rep asking them "to waive your fee to keep my business". I'm surprised they didn't tell them "If you don't like it, you have the freedom not to order with us. The fee is part of our business policy."

Come on, you have to admit that was asking a little too much. They only ordered one thing. It's not like they were waving a lot of money in front of their noses.

It reminds me of when Doctors and Lawyers expect preferential treatment. Don't you think that's a little arrogant?

Other than that, I think it was a good column.
