I have a semi new position that I thought would be more than it is.  I have years of experience that my new boss wont recognize.  I want to grow and advance... do new projects.  This new boss wont listen to my ideas, it is like I turned back the time 10 years!  How can I get my new boss to utilize my knowledge and skills.  I don't mean to be "I'm all that" but they demean my skills.  I try to just not let it bother me, a new manager came in, proposed an idea I have been talking to my boss (exactly as I proposed it... a social media plan) and because he is a "manager" they think his .. or MY idea is great.  I told my boss,  I have been telling you that for weeks now!  He just shrugged it off.  I am just soooooooo irritated at this job.  I guess you can say there is a breaking point and I am near it.  ARG!

Does buying clothes for work, work?  Getting cute shoes to match and look good in the office count?  I can add accessories for my overall package!   No, I don't make purchases for the company.  My boss is extremely budget cheap!  If I thought of it, I would bring in colored post its or fun items like Jennika, but when I am shopping, work is the last thing on my mind.  Well, except for the purchasing work attire that looks nice.

I  send out formal letters a few times a year.  It used to be much more but email has taken over.  I think email is easier to organize, there can be a copy on the system and you dont have to keep a hard copy that can get lost, you can just do a search, easy to forward and share... I like email much better myself.

If I would have any training?   I would take some virtual assistance training and consider leaving my job.  But for me that isnt realistic.   

I agree with Marie's yes you can form a habit, but you can break it easier! :-)
