With the recent corporate scandals, the CIPD has done a survey with fascinating results (see link). How do you feel about your company? What about your boss? Has the way you feel about your boss/management/company changed since you first started your job?

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who turned up at our special networking PA Event at the 'Marco' Pierre White Restaurant at Chelsea Football Club yesterday evening. It was a pleasure to talk to you and I do hope to see you all at our next event (details TBC).

Happy American Independence Day to all our colleagues/co-workers in the USA.

As part of DeskDemon’s commitment in the openness of these boards as a platform for everyone to be able to share ideas and opinions with comfort and in good spirit it has been necessary to ban a member from posting. This decision was reached after much deliberation and after receiving many repeated complaints about this user over time. Several warnings were issued and regrettably we were left with no choice but to take this action.

We would like to reiterate our on-going commitment in providing a place where ALL can participate, exchange ideas/best practices and seek advice from fellow members. These are your boards and we always value and welcome your feedback in any way that these can be improved.

I do not believe this is a controversial topic, and one that shouldn't be discussed on a professional networking site - animals in the office is something that is happening, and something that we all have a view on, but please respect that not everyone has the same opinion as you.

Sound Off (and the Forum) is exactly the place to exchange views, ideas, etc and stimulate discussion, but not to inflame or offend others.

If anyone feels this topic was not for them, then please do not participate or find/start a thread that you do want to discuss.
