I don't really know the reason why I mostly lurk.  The site is very interesting and I miss it if I don't look in every day.  Those who post are not at all intimidating. I am often amazed at the many ways different people view the same situation -- very interesting.  I am also very pleased with all the the kind words of support given to each other.

I suppose the real reason I lurk is because I think I just don't have anything new to add.  (My office mates would certainly be shocked with that statement).

I started out lurking on Office Click, then Admin Authority.  I'm still mostly lurking -- but I sure enjoy it.

An operations manager for Jack in the Box was late for a meeting and
called his boss to tell him he was running late. As he was leaving
the voice mail message, he witnessed an accident and went on to provide
"play by play" of the incident. This is the actual voice mail message.
It was forwarded so many times within Jack in the Box, it crashed
their voice mail server.

In the naval glossaries and naval dictionaries -- Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines Abbreviations -- BOD stands for Beneficial Occupancy Date (facilities);or,  Bottom of Descent.
