Definitely I'm best at WORD, as it's the one I use everyday.

I'm really lucky, my boss is a friendly kind old man. When I remind him to make a phone call or any other things he always says:'what would I do without you!
When he is not in the office and I phone him, he always calls me back and says: DONE!
He always carries a small notebook (he's not too keen on new technologies) where he writes everything he has to do, at the end of the day he always shows it to me so that I can eliminate things from my list.
On the other hand, his son is always putting things off, even urgent phone calls. And when there's an angry customer he always says his secretary didn't tell him. The problem is that he will be my boss when his father retires.

That's funny!  What a pity my boss can't speak English.

Love from Spain,

I suppose I'm both.  I'm a morning person at the weekends especially on sunny days. I get up early, have a big breakfast while read the paper, go for a walk ... . But I hate early week mornings, especially the rainy ones!

Lots of love from Spain.

In my previous job I felt the same, bored to death! The first months I felt I wasn't needed. I just had to answer the telephone, fax, write some letters or e-mails, but most of the time I did nothing. As I had so much free time in the office,  I decided to do other things, I bought a book on computing to keep up to date with new technologies, I started studying Portuguese and French ... All those things were really useful to find a new job. Now that I'm working in a busy office I missed those idle hours!

I have lived too!
How incredible is it that my childhood has been like that! Although I live so far from you, we used to play the same games and do the same kind of things!.
Thank you Geminigirl. It's nice to remember those happy years.

I live on the northwest coast of Spain, in a region called Galicia. It's quite different from the south or the Mediterranean coast, it's not as sunny and hot but it's quite green.
As for the Irish accent, I found it difficult to understand at first but got used to it, and now I think Irish accent is really nice, I find it sexy (I suppose that's because it reminds me of my ex-boyfriend).

Thank you very much for your answers. And thanks for telling me that my English is good. I live in  Spain and I have been studying English for some years.  Seven years ago I went to London to improve my English and I worked as an 'Au Pair' there.  At that time I had an Irish boyfriend for a short time (I think this is the best way to learn a foreign language, don't you?)

Hiya!
I've just found this site and find it really interesting for both my job and my English, 'cos ,as you've probably realised, I'm not from an English speaking country.
I'm Spanish and  work as a secretary for a small company. Although when they first hired me they asked for a person with an upper-intermediate level of English, up to now I had never had to speak it. Now we've got some English customers so I'm afraid I will be disturbing you with all my doubts with English.
Here goes the first one:
When talking to someone on the phone yesterday, he asked me for the company e-mail address. I didn't know how to say '@' in English, I hope he understood in the end...
Bye for now, hope to hear from you soon.
