Gee,
I think I would have challenged her over this, and asked if somebody else had access to her emails, just to let her know a read receipt was received.

I too wanted to be a secretary when I was a child. I was given an old manual Remmington typewriter, and I used to play "offices". I loved bits of paper, making carbon copies, and stamp pads. I also had a "post office set".

gee4,
Not sure if I can offer much advice here, as she's the CEO's PA maybe its hierarchy. I can only suggest that whenever you ask her for information try to put the ball back in her court for a response.
In my early secretarial career, a company I worked for had a PA to the CEO who was very much in to hierarchy when dealing with the other secretaries. I vowed I would never be like that to my fellow colleagues, and to this day she has stuck in my mind.

Following on from turning up for work and then putting make-up on.......
My husband, who sometimes travels into London by train, says he often sees women putting their make-up on whilst on the train!
If it were me, I'd have to get up half hour earlier and make sure I was ready before I left home.
