by Merle Miller. I've read it a number of times over the years, and there are wonderful insights on politics in the United States in the 30's, 40's and 50's. Read on and find out why the U.S. really got involved in Vietnam, how Eisenhower was almost brought home from Europe in shame at the end of WWII, and why Herbert Hoover got a bad rap as president. A fascinating read.
