San Francisco, CA, November 10, 2007 – DeskDemon, with its platinum sponsor DYMO, is pleased to announce the November winner of an award program that acknowledges the achievements and accomplishments of the backbone of the management, the administrative professional, Kacey Gallagher.

In August 2007, DeskDemon launched a year long award program that acknowledge and rewards the accomplishments of those who support and keep companies running smooth. The viewer’s voted an vote Kacey Gallagher of Wyoming Department of Corrections, October’s winner.

Kacey has organized her office with innovative ideas to help keep the Prison Division Staff on track with projects and travel. She has created white boards which look like big spread sheets to track staff projects (letters) and staff travel schedules. All reference materials are now organized and labeled in color coded notebooks for easy reference. The filing system has been organized with a listing of everything and what drawer it is in for easy reference. The daily mail is organized in divided colored folders for each staff by topic and priority items are in an additional individual different colored folder for easy recognition. She has created shortcuts that have saved the company money such as electronically doing Fed Ex pickups.

She helped create an Office Volunteer Fund Committee who organize fund raisers throughout the year to support our annual office picnic and holiday party. This group also maintains an office snack area. She is the President Elect for the Wyoming Criminal Justice Association and has been busy planning our upcoming annual conference. She is an active member of our Executive Assistants Group who have come up with time saving ideas such as logging letters to help with duplicate efforts; standardizing office letterhead, memo, and forms; standardizing calendars for all staff to help with scheduling meetings, using State cars, and scheduling conference rooms.

Kacey has made a huge difference in the environment in the Prison Division and I know her supervisor considers her a great asset.

The goal of the Management Fellowship Support Award Program is to acknowledge, recognize, reward and promote a network of knowledge of each individual story.

Anyone can nominate an assistant who has made a difference in their day. The criteria for the nomination includes outstanding achievements in at least one of the following areas - organizational and project management, training and mentoring, office management, communication, technology, problem-solving. Winners will be chosen by those who know the job the best, their peers. Each DeskDemon member will be given 10 token/votes to distribute to the entry they feel has had the best entry they may change the distribution of these votes at any point within any giving month. Each month the entry with the most votes will receive $500 and their nominator $100. At the end of the competition, a group of industry experts will choose most extraordinary entry for the grand prize of $15,000 one runner up will receive.
