officeguru- From what I've seen on the news, it doesn't look like your co-worker will be leaving for her cruise out of New Orleans next month...
My prayers are with everybody down there. Really makes you stop and think about what you would do if it happened to you. Other than earthquakes, I think my area is relatively safe from natural disasters, not exactly sure where the fault lines are though. No rivers or levies close by. I would like to become more self-sufficient though. Been checking out solar ovens lately. Would help if power or gas were lost. Anyone have one or used one before? There are plans on the internet to build them or you can spend up to $250 and buy one. Seems like a lot of money to me. Lehmans.com has 2 they sell, one cheap and one expensive. Interesting site to check out though.
