Please spare a thought for the families of two young girls that have been found murdered after being missing for two weeks in the UK.

They're disappearance has touched everyone here - their parents have shown so much courage during a very difficult time.

There is so much evil in this world that we cannot protect our children from.  It is so scary.

What a sad and frightening world we live in today.  I am so glad that my children are grown.  Of course, I have my grandchildren to worry about - especially the two who have Downs Syndrome and don't understand "stranger danger".

My prayers are with all the families who have missing children, especially right now when then seems to be so many of them.  First, there was Pamela Smart - Utah, then the two girls in California who luckily were found, then the baby in Texas who was returned to her mother unharmed, now the little Short girl in Virginia and the two in UK.  And how many more we have not even heard about.

Personally, I think every last one of these child abductors should be shot on sight.  Yes, I know what that sounds like but when they go to trial there is a chance they can get off with a smart lawyer.  Like the trial in California right now over the Van Damme girl - still no verdict and it's been almost a week.

OK - I've had my say.  My prayers are with these little girls and their families.

My prayers for the families.  Such a tragedy that words can't express.

The awful news today that after a 5 hour post mortem they still can't identify the girls means that those awful people must have totally mutilated them.

Their poor parents (who would no doubt have been aware that the remains were unidentifiable other than children) must be going through hell, after a fortnight of hope.

I do hope they charge that pair soon - they have just been given another final 24 hours to question them.  And maybe one day we'll know WHY . . .
