I look back at my career so far and I wonder why I continue to pick "doozies" for bosses (not all of them thank god)! (I didn't pick Mr. Wilson - I was actually hired by the office manager and my boss is the young attorney I support and he is wonderful! We have the same assessment of Mr. Wilson.) I've gone on a number of interviews the past year including a position I recently was very interested in -- I found out about it through Office Team. Administrative Assistant to VP of a large Fortune 500 company with pay at $39-42,000 to start! Office Team presented me for the position only to find that they did not want to see me! I could not find out any information from Office Team as to why! GoldenEarring, I live in Wisconsin. I sure would love to meet you sometime! I can't seem to find too many people who are very helpful in "training" other people on the skill of getting that top-level job. I'm not getting any younger -- I'll be 38 soon (but I still have people thinking that I'm 28 or 30) and I know that some jobs went to someone younger. All I know is that I'm not where I want to be. I'm actually finding it hard to concentrate (hard to be motivated when your work is not appreciated). I'm longing for that professional environment where bosses are supportive. They're out there -- how do I find them?
