Same reason here, lunch time is from 12-1 EST for me and the best time I have for optimal viewing time til' I get home, otherwise I usually pop in and out thru the day to see what's going on.

This is my usual lunch time, too. I try to log on at least once a day; twice if I have time. I work pretty much by myself, and don't have the opportunity to interact much in the office, so I like to visit my friends on-line.
There's always a lot going on at these boards. Some days I just lurk and read; I've learned a lot that way, especially in "Software Survival".

I normally log on the morning and stay logged in for most of the day, just popping in every so often to see what's happening. Then I log off at the end of the day. If my bosses are gone for the day I may pop in every 30 mins or so.

Ditto about the checking throughout the day.
This is our slow season at work so I have less to do than usual and get bored easily. Won't start picking up again til December.

I noticed an increase in the number of folks on the boards in the last couple of days. I'm thinking that the word is out about us...what with Andrea's trip to Europe, the Avery commercial, and everything.
Our little family is growing...
