I'm searching through a PILE of documents on MS Office 2000, trying to find all the sections titled "Earthwork" that contain the words "excavation" or "Overexcavation" in them. The documents are saved by Section number (as in 02300.doc, etc.) If I search for docs containing the word "excavation" it takes forever to weed out only the Earthwork sections. Is there any way I can do a "Boolean" search in Office 2000 for docs containing "excavation" AND "earthwork"?

I can't get my Windows Explorer to take boolean operators at all.
There's a product called Enfish that has been mentioned in Software survival that has great searching techniques. You could download that IIRC you can boolean for the contents of a document.

You don't say which version of Word you have, but yes, you should be able to click on File-Open, then click on Tools-Find. You can define additional criteria to search for more than one parameter.

Durrrr on my part! Of course!
Forgive me, I'd explain how rotten the last couple of days have been, but it would be soooooo boring. I think my brain is fried.
