Well, I did not get the job with the architectural firm. Oh well. I went on a "group orientation" for a desktop publishing  job that looks really promising. They had 5 of us come in and explained what the job is, which is mostly creating newsletters for their clients. Then gave us a chance to either leave if we weren't interested, or schedule a test and interview if we were. Nobody left. I have my interview Friday morning.  I'm really hopeful because this is exactly the sort of thing I'd love to be doing!

The test went okay. I did 30 minutes of data entry, which would have gone better had the keyboard situation not been so uncomfortable. But it wasn't horrible. Then I had 30 minutes to create a one-page newsletter from info. on a form. That was fun! I don't know if they were too impressed with the results though. We'll see...

I have another interview tomorrow for an admin/marketing job at an insurance company! Boy, when it rains it pours! (Come to think of it, that's been true for our weather lately too!)
