Unbelievable--did I tell you all about the Sunday morning when I got up at 5:30 to drive to a supermarket and get breakfast for the project team? I did further work for them that week, securing conference bridges on short notice, driving to deliver more food, etc. Yes, I did tell you, I remember, because you all told me I should submit my mileage expenses (I did).
The manager for whom I did the work just posted on an internal company bulletin board where we can put up a virtual thank-you note for outstanding work--and anyone else in the company can read it! She listed all the things I'd done during that week and thanked me for going above and beyond.
What a great bunch of people I work for!

Dettu, I remember reading about the Sunday work you did and thinking--wow, she's really gone above and beyond. You really deserve the public thank you note. I'm going to pass this idea on to our IT / HR departments--thanks for sharing. Movinonup
