I've gotten better and my husband said he would fire me if I worked for him. It doesn't matter what time I get up - I will be a few minutes late to work. Some days it's traffic most days it just I'm running late. I also even out the time at lunch or working late and my bosses don't have a problem with it most days. If we have office visitors I make a point of being early, but we don't often have early morning visitors.
And as for the rest of the day - here in Atlanta you can have the best intentions for being on time, but if you have to take 285 (the belt around the city) your odds of being on time are 50/50 at best less if one drop of water hits the highway!
