Well, I went in this morning and talked to my boss about my fall classes.  I let him know I got the bill yesterday and that before I turned it over I needed to drop the computer class I registered for - I'm being excused from the requirement because of my working knowledge/experience level.  Anyway, I asked him plain and simple if, while things are so slow, could I take a day class provided it is first thing in the morning.  He agreed.  His only condition was that I try to schedule it so it doesn't interfere with my getting payroll done which isn't a problem.  I found a class that I can take M,W,F at 8:00 a.m. and I do payroll on Tuesdays.

Then when I started working on filling out an EEO form, I found out that I hadn't recreated that in Excel yet.  Didn't take me long, but it was something to do that required thought.

To make the day even better, I got an A on my research paper.  My attitude has improved tenfold.  I hope this is all a sign of good things to come.

Thank you all for your suggestions.  Like I said I would do, I've read over them a few times......and I'm saving them to review when I get into another slump.  And CG, I like your suggestion of a database to track correspondence/documents, but 2nd bossie is planning on purchasing a program called Expedition which does that.  They are already using it at the jobsite office because the GC uses it.  I can't wait to learn that one.  It will be my responsibility to do the data entry once we get it.

Thanks again ladies.  Hope you have a great Friday and a great weekend.

MLM, that's great!  If you mentioned it in your previous post and I missed it, I apologize - but how long till you finish your degree?

Actually, I'm just getting started.  The class this summer was my first.  I've been putting off doing this for years for one reason or another - kids being to young and needing me at home, money, not enough time.  This year, I decided that it was now or never.  I'm only going for my Associate's right now and then after that I will decide if I want or should go further.
