I also thought of the courier and FedEx First angles and I've been trying those options all morning.  No Fannie Mae store near me (and I'm really bummed because I had visions of getting to leave early and  indulging myself with something in the very high calorie range).  Struck out in NYC also --- one place I called told me in a very SUPERIOR voice that Fannie Mae is only popular in places like Chicago (implying that Chicago is inferior) -- I'll give his name to any of you Chi-town admins who want to beat him up.

Anyhow, now I have my sister in Phila working on it.  If she can get her hands on the candy -- and manage not to eat it -- we'll fedex from Phila to Manhattan.

Oops - that was my sister on the phone - can't do it via the Phila connection either because the specific kind of Fannie Mae chocolates we need are on backorder and will not be delivered to the Phila stores until Friday.

Seems like I've spent a lot of time finding out that I am just going to order from the website and have the candy shipped from Chicago on Monday.  At least the quest was fun; I love a challenge.
