I work at a car dealership and we have large floor to ceiling glass windows in our showroom. It's nice to be able to look out the window and see the lot; to see the traffic driving by. But every once in a while (don't be fooled: EVERY SO OFTEN) someone will just SMACK right into the glass, thinking it's open!

We have a few doors right by my desk and it usually happens when we have the doors propped open on a nice day. Must be something with their peripheral vision or something....It's so funny because usually they aren't hurt, but a little embarrassed and dizzy! They always leave a smudge from where they're face smashed into the window too, haha! I've windexed a few.

But one time I was directing this gentlemen to the body shop across the street and he was walking slowly backwards towards the front doors smiling at me when he turned around he kissed the glass HARD! It was so funny, I held my laughter until he stumbled out the door!!

Doesn't that prove a health and safety issue, or at least a hazzard?  If it happened to me I would probably complain.  If it happened to an old person, I would expect them to complain.

No but it is funny that this happens so often.  Can you put a sticker or something bright orange or red that would stand out to let them know there is glass there.  Obviously they are not paying attention to what is a window, they are there to shop for a car, not the windows, LOL!

That is great!  My favorite clips on America's Funniest Home Video's are of when this happens.  It is such a "human" thing to do.

I'm so aware of it now that I always test before I go through a suspect doorway that could be glass.

Hey, art imitates life, so they say.....

Actually, the woman in the office next to mine had a horrible fright one day when a bird crashed into her window.  She never imagined a little bird could make such a big noise on impact.

I have a knack of doing this myself.  One particular time it was the entrance to a packed restaurant - so many people to embarrass myself in front of!  The whole restaurant seemed to be laughing at me, but at least I got a free beer.  I know it's bad, but it's so difficult not to laugh at accidents like this.

LOL the other MD in our office had his window crack the other day with the high wind, apparently he thought someone was shooting at him   I guess that's paranoia for you !
