Rain,

You're not always entitled to anything these days regardless of how long you have worked for a company.  I was with a US company in 1999/2000, they closed the company and made all of us redundant, no compensation, nothing.  You haven't a leg to stand on believe me.

Jess if you get something you are lucky.  Been made redundant several times so know how that feels.
