Boss does it all the time. I never know from one day to the next if she will be in the office or work from home, until she walks through the door. It has taken some getting used to. Very strange behavior for leadership. Now, she no longer reports to a boss in our building, but in another state due to a recent re-org. I'll probably never see her:)
I had to take leave for bereavement and called her to let her know the situation. She said, "this is just not a good time, we have so much going on". Is there ever a good time for the death of a family member (in-law)?
