I was looking back through the posts way way WAY back and was wondering.... Where where you when you first found DeskDemon (in any version AdminAuthority or if you can from AdminProf). What job were you in when you first found us, how did you find us, and where are you now? He have some people who have been around 6 years or more! There has to be some moving on, promotions, good news.

Oh, man! I miss Office Click! I found that site just after I started my first admin job, and eventually followed it over here.

I started out at Office Click, also. I think found it through an advertisement to visit the website. I also ordered (and still have) my "Office Click It!" silly slammer. My favorite thing it says is "You want it when? Office Click it." I don't remember if I ever posted on that site or just lurked. Soon after that The Admin Assistant came to be and I've been a "member" ever since. I've been in the same job for the entire time. I work for the military and I've had several bosses, civilian and military. Most of them have been good, but the one that stayed the longest, I could have done without. (Isn't that how it always works out?) JusPeachy

I started out at Office Click as well just as a lurker. I was newly hired here where I am currently, and one of the HR folks sent me a link to Office Click and I am glad she did. It's helpe me out alot, more ways than I care to count and have made many friends on this site as well. We migrated over to Admin Authority with Andrea and Co., back then with Winkiebear, Dedlered, Countrigal, myself, at the time Chris68 now changed over to Diamonlady, as well as a few others that only occasionally post, Whitesatin was one of them. Boy some of the names that come back to mind, I can't imagine where they have gone too. Diamondlady Peer Moderator

I was on Office Click and also on Admin Authority for a while. I found two of my best admin friends on Office Click, met them in person, and we are still great friends.
This is my first post on Desk Demon.

I found a lot of friends on Office Click (though hated the site -- all that nasty back-stabbing most of the time wore me out!) and followed those friends to TAA and onward. When I first found the site(s), I was a secretary in Little Rock, AR... then moved to Montgomery, AL into one position shortly before Andrea made her big move. Then my position evolved, and so did our site. Now I'm with a different "branch" of the same "company", but in yet another position.
I count some of me fellow peers located on this site as some of my best friends, even though we may not have formally met. We've been through a lot together, and still trudge along.

I started out lurking on Office Click, then Admin Authority. I'm still mostly lurking -- but I sure enjoy it.

It is really nice to see lurkers even just post a hi! Thanks for taking the time to have the first post or just a quick follow up post.

Hi, WhiteSatin checking in here. Oh my God! I've been around a LONG time. First started with Office Click. Moved over to Administrative-Assistants.com and made the transition to DeskDemon. It's been a long, wild, wooly ride. I miss so many of the old-timers. Andrea was such an inspiration. I do wish she would check in once and awhile just to let us know how she is and how she is doing. I wonder if she ever thinks about any of us anymore? We've had so many good times in the past. I especially miss Winkiebear. She was so much fun and always had so much to share with us. I'm glad to see so many of us are still here, but would so much like to hear from some of the oldies! Love you all, all of you all! WhiteSatin

I guess I'm a bit of a newbie compared to everyone else. I started with PA Assist which I picked up when it first launched at Creme, what 5 years or so ago? And then I fell across DD only a couple of years ago (ssshh ... it's so much better!).

I discovered DeskDemon when I started my current job just over seven years ago. I think I may have read about DD in a newspaper article - probably the Creme section of The Times - and trotted in here to have a look round. And I've been here ever since . My job title hasn't changed - ain't no higher a body can go as an admin in my organization than EA to the Big Cheese - but my job profile has altered considerably. My job description these days bears little resemblance to the one I started out with all those years ago. The job I came to do turned out not to be the job I was doing, the company was stuck in Ancient Times and had Byzantine practices, my lovely boss left after three and a half years to be replaced by The Boss From Hell (a relative of Andrea's Hydra, I am sure) - you get the picture. But I'm not a quitter. I stuck it out and here I am today. The company is very different to what it was seven years ago, I have a lovely boss again, more responsibility, an interesting and rewarding job, and a grade to match. Raindance
