We invite you to the DD home page to check out the new on site polls. We think you'll enjoy the results from different countries on issues that affect us all. Let me know what you think as always at Andream@Deskdemon.com

I just voted and viewed the results. Unfortunately, the sample size isn't listed but I was blown away by the cultural differences in "I was harrassed but I didn't report it". At the time I'm writing this 63% of France and 33% of the UK didn't report harrassment (9% for UN and 0% for US).
Why, in this day and age, are people still getting away with sexual harrassment? Is it because of lax laws? Or is it still the attitude "she/he asked for it"?

Aw, Andrea you say the sweetest things (No, I am not crying - it's just some dust in my eye ::sniff: . BTW I have recommended this site to all the other EAs at our company (all 5 of them). Did Tink make it safely to the UK? I have been worried sick about her. BTW my boss will be in London on Friday. If only I could convince him to take me with him on one of his trips...... I voted that I was sexually harassed and didn't report it. It was because it was in the mid-70's and there weren't any laws on sexual harassment at that time. You put up with it and kept your mouth shut or you moved on. Period!

Hey Andrea, I'm Canadian too. How many more do we need to get the Canadian flag up?
Most places I've worked, the anti-sexual harrassment training was mandatory. This place however, could easily be one giant harrassment case if someone decided to take issue about the attitudes. There's enough precedence and evidence for the Human Rights Commission to charge even the owner. I made it clear that I will not tolerate anything less than polite behaviour in my presence, so generally, it's not been a problem for me.

I'm hunting around the office for the biggest Fedex box I can find. Darn - just not big enough for me! Maybe next time.
Where do I send the flag?
