GREAT IDEA!!!

Start out with a plastic tote - they last much longer than a cardboard box would.

I'd make sure to add:
pens
pencils
legal notepads
small notepads
first-aid kit
rubber bands
paper clips
binder clips
sewing kit (because you really never know WHAT might happen)
markers
letter sized copier paper
scissors
masking tape
scotch tape
hard candies (peppermints)

That's all that comes to mind right now... but again - DARN good idea!
