While a lot of offices in Scotland don't take the August bank holiday (it's predominantly an English holiday in the UK), throughout September there are a series of Monday holidays in local areas - eg I believe it's a holiday in Aberdeen tomorrow, the Edinburgh one is mid September with Glasgow a week later.  It's the last of these until the big Christmas holidays so something to look forward to.
