Our company does not give out bonuses to the hourly associates. However, the first company I ever worked for gave out annual bonuses - after working for the company for 6 months, I got $800 at Christmas, and the next year I got $1500. I forget now why I left!

Around here - you never know. The first year we received one. Last year we didn't - no explanation. And I have a feeling that this year we won't either. . .

I am with a new company and I mean new to me and new to the world. Therefore, whatever happens for the holidays will be a surprise.
My former, wonderful boss, who received our Hall of Fame certificate, give me shares of stock each year for Christmas. As I said she is great, and I am very fortunate.

I don't have a clue if we will get a bonus this year, though I doubt it. Since we are a start up, I'm sure the investors are questioning every penny, but you never know. My husband on the other hand received a $500 bonus with the taxes on it paid, and a $1.50 raise (although we've been fighting for that raise for a year).

if we get anything....didn't last year, but had only been here 3 weeks then....
see, I work for a measly multi-BILLION dollar, nationwide company, but this office and it's leader is something else....what can you expect to get from a boss who has a $500 dinner bill at the ESPN Zone restaurant in NY and leaves a $20 tip?
Anyway...hoping for SOMETHING, but not expecting anything.
Happy holidays!!!

Just some extra (paid) time off...which, sometimes is worth more than the money!
What am I doing this Christmas? Catchin' some Z's!

The bossies are pretty good to us here--not a Grinch in the lot. The first year I was here I got a nice but modest bonus (which after taxes amounted to about $350 I think). Last year, profits were down so we were lucky to get anything but the principals gave up their bonuses so the office staff could at least have a "little something." This year, however, we were told the outlook is good. I don't know HOW good, though. I'm a teensy bit on edge cuz I can't finish my Christmas shopping 'til I get my bonus and that's usually at the last minute (sigh...does anyone get theirs EARLY?). I shouldn't complain, though--especially after reading the other responses! We get Christmas Day & New Year's Day off and that is all, except everyone usually takes some vacation time. We also had a LOT of activities this year, though--including a company-paid trip to Leavenworth, a party tomorrow night for which we have some Excellent entertainment lined up, a kids' Santa party, "pod" decorating contest, Secret Santas and a potluck. Seems I have been working as hard on Christmas this year as I have on work--at least it is fun!

Big Bossie just handed me my bonus TODAY--yep, that's early by usual standards, and (surprise!) it was more in the range of hopes than expectations!
Whoo hoo!

We don't get a bonus, however we do get 2 days off at Christmas and the day after Thanksgiving. Of course to get that, we don't get a couple of the other holidays (MLK, President's Day, etc.)

This year, I will not be getting a bonus (Chanukah) because I am a temp but last year every employee got a new $100 bill. One year, all employees received a $500 bonus (boy did that help). Hopefully next year, I will be in a job situation that I will get a bonus.

Because of the type of business I work for, they cannot close the office for very long. They don't even give the day after Thanksgiving. I had to take a personal day. I haven't heard anything about a bonus here.
At my previous job, we got an annual bonus (both years mine was $2000), plus my boss gave me a raise. In addition, the office would close the week between Christmas and New Year's.
