Just sending thoughts and prayers to the folks in Texas/Louisanna,  etc to wherever pieces of the shuttle may have fallen.  Hoping everyone is okay.  Thoughts and prayers out to the families of the astronauts.  Such a sad day in the US today.

I cannot believe the footage seen this morning of it just breaking apart into pieces and added to the fact that it was the oldest shuttle of the fleet.

There was a news flash here in the UK at 8 pm - what sad news.  I can only hope that the astronauts' families are proud of them and what they have achieved.

I echo these sentiments.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the astronauts who have perished in this dreadful and tragic accident.

My thoughts and prayers are sent to the families of these brave men and women who gave their life for the progress of the world, and for those folks in NASA who have lost a friend in each of them.  A feeling of mourning reigns at work today.

I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the news, shortly after it happened...  I immediately thought back to the Challenger.  Hard to believe now that that was 17 years ago.

Ellen - are you near to any of the happenings?
