Hey NC, I have a similar system:



Monday: balance the cheque book

Tuesday: change beds and laundry

Wednesday: ironing

Thursday: homework



It doesn't always work but it gives me something to work towards.



BTW - my three year old is currently into "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs".  One day while he was watching it and I was doing housework, I made some offhand remark, something to the effect of wouldn't it be great if Snow White and all her animal friends could come by our house and clean up.



Later that day the doorbell rang and my three year old raced to the front door.  He thought it was going to be Snow White to come and clean our house.  If only!!



Even now, every once and a while he says something about Snow White coming to clean the house.
